Both tests are accepted for Express Entry. Often the deciding factor is simply which test centre has a date that suits you.
TCF has more, shorter writing tasks and a shorter speaking test. TEF asks for one longer argued text and a 10-minute persuasion task.
Take Test 1 of each and compare your NCLC estimates. Many learners score a little higher on one format.
Rules and score requirements can change. Always check the current requirements on the official IRCC website before you book a test.
